Scrap Like You Mean It - Week 18

The themes keep getting stranger - this week it is scrap an outdoors picture, maybe next week will be one from indoors LOL! I have used My Mind's Eye 'Maggie May' papers, American Crafts 'Details', My Little Shoebox 'Sprinkle Glaze' alphabet, My Little Shoebox 'Flawless' transparency overlay and American Crafts ribbon.
I haven't done many card challenges recently, as I have been concentrating on an 'Altered Jigsaw' swap that I am in on UKS. Hope to get the pieces finished next week and then I can start focusing on my cards. There just isn't enough hours in the day!!

Friday Sketchers - Sketch 48

Another great sketch from Friday Sketchers. I have used Whiff of Joy stamps, which have been coloured with Prismacolors and Sansador. The papers are from the My Mind's Eye 'Maggie May' collection, and I have used Nestabilities for the frame.

Cute Card Thursday - Challenge 57

This week's challenge from Cute Card Thursday was to either distress or stitch the edges of the card. I decided to try out my new edge distresser on all the edges and then inked them afterwards. The papers are My Mind's Eye 'Maggie May' collection and the sentiment and flowers were done using Stampin' Up stamps and punches. The image is 'Buzz' by Penny Black and it was coloured using Prismacolor pencils and Sansador.I must give a special mention to my lovely daughter Natalie, who bought me a Wizard as a surprise present which I have used it to cut the Nestabilities.

Scrap Like You Mean It - Week 17

A much better challenge this week - layers and lace. I have used another photo from my India trip, which was taken at the Peacock Gate inside the walled city of Jaipur. I have used My Mind's Eye 'Maggie May' papers, Dewdrops, blooms and a SU tag. The title was cut on the Cricut and the lace was from my 'lace box' LOL.

Scrap Like You Mean It - Week 16

This week's challenge was to 'scrap in the morning'. It didn't matter whether you started the LO in the morning or finished it in the morning, as long as you did some of the LO during the morning - very strange challenge, but anyway..... I have used K&Co 'Que Sera Sera' papers and embellishments. The journalling reads: "It's no wonder the Rambagh Palace was spotless. Each morning a team of ladies cleaned every inch of the grounds with a duster!

Friday Sketchers - Sketch 47

This sketch from Friday Sketchers came in very handy for a couple of Easter cards that I needed to make. I have used a Magnolia image, courtesy of Andrea (thank you), which was coloured using Prismacolor pencils and Sansador. The PPs are Basic Grey 'Urban Prairie', the flowers and swirl were punched with EK Success punches, the sentiment was done using the PC and Stampin' Up punches and the scalloped oval was cut using Nestabilities.

Baby Card

Haven't managed to get any card challenges done today, although have made this card for one of Tim's colleagues. Used Anita's stamp, SU card, ink and punches, Little Yellow Bicycle PP, Nestabilities, Martha Stewart punch and an Inkadinkado swirl stamp. I painted the image using Distress Inks.

Scrap Like You Mean It - Week 15

The theme for this week's challenge was edges. I've used plenty of straight edges, but not many decorative edges LOL! But, to be honest, I wanted to scrap these particular photos and didn't want to ruin the LO just for the sake of 'having' to have lots of different edges on it IYKWIM. The papers are Piggy Tales 'Itsy Bitsy Spider' collection and the scalloped frame is a KI 'softie'.

Amazing

I did this LO for my Dad, who is 68 going on 21! The journalling reads:This is my Dad, Les. He runs marathons, has done a bungee jump and has cycled from John o’Groats to Land’s End on several occasions. At the moment he is in training to complete the journey on a postman’s bike!
These pictures were taken as he was setting off on a 70 mile journey home, after riding the 70 miles to our house the previous day.
When I spoke to him later that evening he said he couldn’t understand why he felt a bit ‘achy’. I replied “Dad, it could have something to do with the fact that you’re 68 years of age!
I think the title sums him up! I have used Bazzill, Thickers alphabet and an Inkadinkado stamp.

Scrap Like You Mean It - Week 14

This weeks challenge on UKS was to use something 'hidden' on the LO. I decided to use a spinner idea I had seen in a book, but my big problem was understanding how to fit it all together (Anyone who knows me will understand why LOL) Anyway, 5 hours later, I finally finished. The LO features the four different methods of transport we were offered when we arraived at the Rambagh Palace in India: camel, elephant, horses or horse and carriage.

I have used K&Co Que Sera Fera paper, Hambly transparency, Marrakech centre piece and K&Co K Ology brad. The title was cut on the Cricut and the journalling done on the PC.
