A baby card...

made for my neighbour's new granddaughter. I have used my trusty old 'Anita's' stamp, which was coloured with Copics. The paper is SU.

It's been so long....

that I'd almost forgotten how to post lol!
I bought a couple of Wendy Vecchi 'Art Parts' kits, from the HSNW show on Saturday and it must be some sort of record for me, but I actually completed one of them on Sunday! I've substituted most of the stamps for ones in my stash, but apart from that it's pretty much copied from her design.

Mojo in short supply...

but I've finally got around to making a card for my hubby's birthday, which is tomorrow.
I've used a PTI sentiment stamp and Penny Black hedgehog stamps, which have been coloured with Copics.

80th Birthday Wishes

I made this card for my friend's Mum, who is celebrating her 80th birthday at the weekend. The stamp is from the 'Betsy Bluebell' range by Penny Black and has been coloured with Copics. The punches are Martha Stewart, the sentiment stamp is LOTV and the papers are Piggy Tales 'Gretel Collection'.

Another Craft Stamper project, this one designed by Kate Crane. The stamps are from Stampotique and have been coloured with distress inks and the paints, used to create the background, are Dylusions.

Unfinished Project Part 2

This second project was inspired by Jean Hardy and was featured in Craft Stamper magazine. All materials used, apart from the cuttlebug photo corners, were from Jean's shop, 'Crafty Individuals'.

Unfinished Project Part 1

Myself and a few friends got together last week for a play day. We did two projects and as usual, I didn't manage to finish mine. In fact this first project was completely re-done, when I got home, as I wasn't happy with it. It started off being an exact copy from a project done by Kate Bentley in Craft Stamper, but ended up looking a bit different, as I changed the 'black on yellow' stamping to water colouring with distress inks. The various elements have been 3D'd, and the lamp post is stamped on the glass, although you can't really see this from the photograph. It has been framed in a shadow box fame.
Now off to finish project 2....

Less is More Week 58

This week's challenge on the 'Less is More' blog, is to make a one layer card featuring script. I inked a masked off area using distress ink and then stamped various leaf images and script, using the French Foliage stamp set from SU.

Mother's Day Card

I dug out an old Hero Arts stamp, 'Glass Vases', for this card. The image has been coloured with Copics and I have used a Stampin' Up stamp for the sentiment.

Magazine Freebie

The stamps used on this card were a freebie from Papercraft Inspirations magazine. I copied the card sample from the magazine almost exactly, but at least I now feel that the purchase has been justified.

A Very Simple.....

Valentine's day card, inspired by one from PTI's blog. The hearts are punched using a SU punch and the sentiment stamp is also SU.

Play Day

Last week, Karen and I decided to have a play day, with the intention of doing a project we had seen in Craft Stamper, using Paper Artsy stamps. Karen's turned out beautifully, but me being me, I didn't like mine, so I painted over it all, before heading home! Finally after a week of 'faffing about', I decided to use SU stamps (with the exception of the LOTV sentiment stamp), coloured with SU markers and SU 'Every Day Enchantment' papers and turn it into a present for Mother's Day. The central picture was heavily inspired by a sample in a SU leaflet.

I decided....

to dust down my craft stuff and make a couple of cards today. The first card is inspired by one from the PTI blog and was made using PTI and SU stamps and SU inks and card.
For the second card,  I used one of the very first stamps I bought, many moons ago, 'DIY Frame' by Funstamps. The sentiment is by SU.
The colours aren't very accurate, due to lack of daylight -  they're much lighter IRL. (Edit: photos now updated)

Happy Birthday Karen!

I've wanted to make this 'book card', for my friend Karen's birthday, ever since I saw it in Craft Stamper. It was designed by Debbie Dolphin and I have copied it almost exactly, so I can't take any credit for it. The stamps are by 'Stempelglede' and the papers are 'Pion Design'.

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas,
Happy New Year,
